2. C) Text on given graph
The graph shows the internet usage among various age groups in Malaysia. It clearly states that the internet usage is high among the age group 16-30 when compared to other age groups. Though it is comparatively high when compared to other age groups, the actual internet usage has diminished year by year from 53% to 44% in 3 years. Interestingly, the usage of internet has dramatically increased among the elderly citizens, year by year. This has grown from 4% to 10 % from 2005 to 2007. This might be because of the long distance communication between the parents and children. The internet usage among the age group of 31 to 50 has been reduced a bit. In 2005, it was 41%, whereas in 2006 it was 39%. It dropped to 37% in 2007. The growing use of internet is seen among children aged less than 15. In 2005, it was only 2% whereas in 2006 it became 8% and in 2007 it has reached 9%. All in all, the internet usage is increased among citizens aged less than 15 while it is decreased among the age groups 16-30 and 31-50. Again, there is an increased use of internet among people aged more than 50. We can conclude that in Malaysia, the younger and the older are getting used to internet while it is being diminished among the middle aged people.
